Don Pritchard's Bio

Pastor Don was born May 8, 1953, in Redding California. He grew up mainly in the Redding, California, area. His parents divorced when he was two years old and his mom remarried his step-father when Don was six years old. Like many in his generation Don began using drugs in Jr. High and continued to abuse drugs throughout high school. By the age of 19 he was addicted to heroin.

In April of 1974, his step-father offered him a job in Montana, There he became a Journeyman Cement Finisher, and after two years he moved to Billings, Montana. There he met his first wife Kathy. Their son, Sean, was born July 4, 1976. Don and Kathy’s marriage lasted only 18 months and they were separated by November of 1977. Don was at the lowest point of his life, feeling he had lost everything he valued: his home, his wife, and most of all, his son. In November of 1978, Don moved back to California, and began attending New Life Assembly in Marysville, California.

On December 13, 1978, Don gave his life to the Lord. Shortly after Don got saved, he met Sue at New Life Assembly.  On Valentines Day 1979, they began dating and were married October 20, 1979.

After graduating from Bible School in May of 1981 he was offered a position in Burney, California.  Don and Sue moved to Burney in August of 1981.  They became the Associate Pastors in charge of the Christian School for Burney Assembly of God.  Don taught high school and was the school administrator.  Sue taught kindergarten and was the church secretary.  They served at that church until August of 1983, when they took their first church as Senior Pastors in Bieber, California.  Their son, Austin, was born in May of that year.

Being Pastor of Grace Bible Church in Bieber was a very unique opportunity.  Don and Sue were both saved in the Assemblies of God and the church in Beiber was not of the Pentecostal persuasion.  They taught the Word of God without compromise and God blessed and changed many lives.  The ministry grew and flourished under their leadership. Their daughter, Jamie, was born in October of 1985.  In 1988, Don began to seek the Lord as to whether he would reach his potential by staying in Bieber for the rest of his life, or if the Lord had other plans.

In June of 1989, Don and Sue left Bieber and moved to Cameron Park, California.  It was there that they launched Solid Rock Faith Center in August of 1989.  They knew they had found their home, and the place where they would reach and fulfill their destiny in God.  Their son, Cody, was born in May of 1990.

Solid Rock Faith Center was started in the conference room of the Super 8 Motel in Cameron Park, CA, in August of 1989. SRFC moved into their first building in October of that year. In December of 1992, they moved to Placerville and used the Veteran’s Memorial Hall, and in May of 1994, they moved to their current location where they have expanded to over 14,000 sq. ft. of facility. In October of 2006, they opened the Lords Gym of El Dorado County, Inc., a sports outreach facility. This had been a vision of SRFC since 1999.

In 1997, God restored the relationship between Don and his son, Sean. Sean moved to California and now is a vital part of this ministry. Sean gave his life to the Lord and enrolled in SRFC School of Ministry. He is now an ordained minister. He is our Associate Pastor, Director of our Lord's Gym and leads Rise student ministries. He preaches and teaches in various capacities at Solid Rock Faith Center. Most importantly, he is the husband of Dana Pritchard and the father of their 4 children. They have three sons, Jacob, Chase, Benjamin and their daughter Gracelyn . Sean is the proof that God truly is a God of forgiveness and restoration. If God can restore a father and his son after 18 years of separation and hook them up as a ministry team, then He can touch and change your life into one of God-given destiny and purpose.
